Overall, the Bowers & Wilkins 706 S3 is a decent speaker with above-average sound quality. And the highs, while already having good accuracy, could use a bit more definition.

It also needs more power in order to fully drive the sound that it produces. For one, it has bass that is good enough but could be even better if it can go much deeper. While I found the sound of 706 S3 to be impressive and immersive, there is still room for improvement.

Even being placed against walls and in different corners of the room, the 706 S3 still sounded great. I liked the sound of my other bookshelf speakers, but I could never find the same level of clarity and high frequencies compared to the 706 S3. I placed these speakers next to my other bookshelf speakers, and there’s a definite difference in sound. The bass is punchy and the midrange is unmistakably clear, with vocals and instrumentation distinct and well-defined.

Ultimately, the Bowers & Wilkins 706 S3 is a good speaker with impressive sound quality and decent connectivity options. However, it may not be the best choice for those looking for powerful, bass-heavy sound or those who need speakers for a larger space. It’s great for listening to music and movies at moderate to loud volumes, and is best for smaller rooms. This speaker is well-suited for audiophiles who are looking for good sound and don’t require the deepest bass or most dynamic sound. Connectivity options include up to 120W of amplified power, dual connections for bi-wired setup, and a Flowport for distortion reduction.
